Are there locations or some situations that are not a good fit?

We are unable to serve clients who are not US citizens. We can serve US citizen clients abroad or on extended vacation virtually.

We utilize electronic communications and systems with clients including Zoom, email, online portals, and shared folders. People who prefer primarily paper-based systems will not be a fit.

Someone wanting to trade a high concentration of individual stocks trying to beat the market is not a good fit.

What is the basis of fees:

Planning projects and our ongoing Prosperity Planner service are a flat fee based on scope and complexity

Assets Under Management and Advisement are % of portfolio value

Certain specialty services are billed hourly due to the unpredictable time needed including majority of divorce (CDFA®) projects

Do we require a minimum $ amount of investable assets?

No, we are flexible to serve clients who have diverse portfolios which may have a concentration of closely held businesses, company stock, options, real estate or other alternative investments.

What is a CDFA®?

A CDFA® is someone who comes from a financial planning, accounting or legal background and goes through an intensive training program to become skilled in analyzing and providing expertise related to the financial issues of divorce.

See more information on the IDFA (Institute of Divorce Financial Analyst) website.

I just need help on 1-2 questions and don't need a full time advisor. Can you help me?

Yes, we offer a Power Session to do second opinions and limited scope questions. See more here.

What if I want to do some areas of planning myself?

We are willing to work flexibly with you in most cases.

The exception to this is when providing investment-related services we must assess certain plan components.

I travel extensively so how can I find time for financial advice?

We can serve you completely virtually if needed. For ongoing Prosperity Planner clients we do prefer to meet 1-2 annually in person for more in depth planning.

The majority of my portfolio is tied up in company stock options, real estate and/or privately held investments. Are you able to do a financial plan for me?

Absolutely! We offer the Prosperity Planner service for the planning and can provide advice on your portfolio.
